Happiness is a Cold Homebrew

Howdy everyone! Apologies for the long delay in posting articles and recipes, but the holidays have been difficult and very, very busy. No brewing as of yet, mainly due to the fact that the 10-gallon brewpot I asked for from nearly every single member of my family was not, in fact underneath my Christmas tree :(. Oh well, I still got lots and lots of nice stuff, even if none of it was exactly what I wanted. We can all be thankful for friends and family during the holidays.

So the Belgian IPA went into bottles today, and also into a separate 1-gallon growler that will later be oaked. I’m considering using something else as well, perhaps some kind of white wine along with the oak to impart some different flavors, but I am undecided at the moment. In any case, I have also decided that bottling is for the birds, and will be saving a little money each week for a kegerator of my very own. My buddy just got one delivered to his house, and I am insanely jealous. Can’t wait to have my own setup in my new apartment!

Also, put out a bit of a suggestion on Facebook the other day for my next brew, and all of my lady friends suggested a Strawberry Wit. I’ve never even thought about brewing such a thing, but it may be an interesting exercise…we shall see
